Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use aurvanacreative.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DBJK Marketing, LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Aurvana Creative Group ("Aurvana," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit aurvanacreative.com, contact us, or use our client and partner portals.
We are a marketing agency. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California and Texas law.
01Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, the services you selected, and the message you wrote. We use this only to reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about.
- Referral and partner applications. Contact details, social media handles, audience information, and anything else you choose to include.
- Portal accounts. If we issue you a client or partner login, we hold your name, email address, a hashed password, and the records associated with your account. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never readable by us.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you load a page we receive standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. Some of this reaches us through the analytics tools described in Section 2.
1.3 Information we do not want
Please do not send protected health information, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form. It is not the right channel for any of those, and we will ask you to resend by a secure route.
02Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. We use a small number of them, and you can switch off everything that is not strictly necessary at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page.
2.1 Our approach
Because our clients and visitors are overwhelmingly in the United States, we operate on an opt out basis: analytics and advertising measurement are active when you arrive, and you may turn them off. Visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland are treated on an opt in basis instead, and nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is enabled for them until they choose to allow it.
2.2 Categories we use
- Strictly necessary (cannot be switched off). Keeps you signed in to a portal, protects our forms from automated abuse through Google reCAPTCHA, and remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. The site cannot function correctly without these.
- Analytics (optional). Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages people find useful, how they arrived, and where they leave. We use it to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Advertising measurement (optional). Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us whether an advertisement led to an enquiry. We use it for reporting on our own advertising. We do not sell this data and we do not use it to build profiles about you for third parties.
2.3 The specific cookies
- _ga and _ga_<id> (Google, up to 2 years). Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another and keeps session state so a visit is not counted several times.
- _gcl_au (Google, up to 90 days). Advertising measurement. Links an advertisement click to an enquiry so we can tell which campaigns work.
- _GRECAPTCHA (Google, up to 6 months). Strictly necessary. Set only on pages with a form, to distinguish people from bots.
- aurvana-cookie-consent (Aurvana). Strictly necessary. Stored in your browser’s local storage rather than as a cookie. Holds only your category choices and the date you made them. It never leaves your device.
2.4 Changing your mind
Use the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer to change your choices at any time. Turning a category off stops the corresponding measurement immediately. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour where required by law.
We record your choice only in your own browser. We do not keep a server side log of who consented to what.
03How We Use Information
- To answer your enquiry and provide the services you asked about.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website and our client and partner portals.
- To measure how the site and our advertising perform, where you have allowed it.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
04How We Share Information
WE DO NOT SELL PERSONAL INFORMATION, AND WE DO NOT SHARE IT FOR CROSS-CONTEXT BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it to do that work:
- Google. Analytics and advertising measurement, where you have allowed those categories.
- Hosting and email providers. To serve the website and deliver the messages you send us.
- Professional advisers. Accountants and lawyers, where required.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
05Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so the last of these is already the position for every visitor.
To make a request, email howdy@aurvanacreative.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request about specific records.
06Retention and Security
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to maintain a record of the relationship, and account records for as long as the account is active plus any period required for tax and legal purposes.
We protect information with HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, access controls on our internal systems, and rate limiting on public endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
08Changes and Contact
If we change this Policy we will update the effective date above, and where the change affects the cookie categories we use, the cookie notice will appear again so you can review your choices.
